Do you enjoy keeping large projects on track through clear cost control, structured thinking, and close collaboration with different stakeholders? Were looking for a Cost Manager to join Granlunds industrial and data center projects.
_Granlund_ _is a rapidly growing expert organization in the real estate and construction sector. Together with our clients and stakeholders, we are building a sustainable and intelligent future. Our 1,700 professionals work across more than 30 locations in Finland, Sweden, and the UK._
Would you be our new Cost Manager?
As a Cost Manager, you help keep projects financially on track from execution through completion by actively steering costs toward agreed targets. You build and update budgets and forecasts, prepare cost estimates for different project phases, and monitor overall performance. In your work, you identify deviations early and assess their financial impact. You support decision-making through clear reporting and present cost insights to project and commercial stakeholders. You challenge deviations and ensure cost discipline throughout the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities include cash flow forecasting, earned value analysis, validating payment milestones, and managing project contingencies. Working closely with project teams, you ensure that cost, schedule, and execution stay aligned while keeping stakeholders informed of progress. You are also involved in contract-related cost risks, payment structures, and validating costs against contractual frameworks (e.g. FIDIC/YSE).
The position is full-time and permanent, and you will be employed directly by Granlund. You can work from any Granlund office in Finland or remotely. The role requires regular travel to project meetings across Finland.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a professional with experience in cost control, project controls, or project coordination in project-based environments. Your background may come from construction, industrial, or energy projects, and you are comfortable working in complex projects where financial control plays a key role. You have a relevant educational background, such as industrial engineering and management or a similar field, and a structured way of working that you can apply in demanding project environments.
Experience with cost management frameworks or standards such as RICS or AACE is considered an advantage. Most importantly, you understand core cost control principles and how to apply them in complex project environments. You communicate fluently in English, and Finnish is considered a plus.
As a person, you are analytical and able to see the bigger picture while identifying the key drivers behind cost deviations. You collaborate effectively with different stakeholders and build trust, while also being confident enough to challenge when needed. You have good judgment in project situations and can balance cost and schedule considerations to support successful outcomes.
Why join us?
At Granlund, you will work in a company that has been a pioneer in Finnish building services engineering for decades. You will contribute to demanding and large-scale projects such as data centers and industrial environments, where your work truly matters. As one of the leading data center design and consulting companies in the Nordics, we offer long-term career opportunities in a rapidly growing field, where projects are becoming increasingly significant in scale and impact. You will have strong opportunities to grow and develop your expertise, with career paths that can be shaped around your strengths and interests.
We place real emphasis on employee well-being, continuous learning, and a supportive, professional work environment. You will be part of a collaborative and ambitious team where people take ownership, share knowledge, and work together toward common goals.
