Electrician in Shipbuilding

Position: Electrician

Location: Meyer Turku Shipyard, Turku, Finland

Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Salary: 16€ per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment within shipbuilding projects.

• Collaborate with engineers and other tradespeople to complete electrical installations in line with project specifications.

• Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

• Troubleshoot electrical issues effectively and efficiently, providing solutions as necessary.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and workplace policies during operations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an electrician, specifically within the shipbuilding industry. (Minimum 2 years )

• Possess the necessary certifications for ship electrical work.

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuitry, and schematics.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.

• Attention to detail and commitment to adhering to safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a shipyard or maritime environment.

• Familiarity with modern shipbuilding technologies and practices.
