Site Manager – Electrical Projects in Data Centers
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our international client in delivering large-scale data center construction projects in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
Our client is an international specialist and contractor in critical power systems, delivering complex electrical and energy solutions for data centers and other mission-critical infrastructures. The company operates across the full project lifecycle — from design to installation, testing, and commissioning.
Role Overview
As a Site Manager, you will have overall responsibility for one or multiple construction sites, depending on project scope. You will lead the day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution throughout all project stages from pre-construction to practical completion.
You will act as the primary point of contact on site, coordinating installation teams, subcontractors, client representatives, and other stakeholders. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations and ensure clear roles and responsibilities across the team
- Ensure all personnel are inducted and comply with site safety rules and procedures
- Monitor project costs and resource allocation to ensure projects remain within budget
- Prepare and maintain short-term schedules in line with the overall project programme
- Review and manage RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and ensure compliance before work commences
- Participate in site safety meetings, safety walks, and coordination meetings
- Oversee project documentation, daily records, labour allocations, variations, and project registers
What We Expect from You
You are a hands-on construction professional with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage electrical site operations in a fast-paced environment.
We expect you to have:
- Previous experience in a Site Manager or similar project leadership role
- Strong background in construction or engineering project delivery / electrical construction
- A relevant technical degree (e.g. BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of project scheduling, cost control, and resource planning
- Ability to lead teams, communicate clearly, and make decisions under pressure
Considered an Advantage
- Experience in data center or mission-critical infrastructure projects
- Hands-on experience with inspections, testing, and commissioning
- Strong understanding of site safety practices and compliance procedures
Language & Requirements
- The role requires good Finnish and English language skills, as english is the primary working language
- Valid EU work authorization / passport
- Occupational Safety Card
- Electrical Safety Card (SFS 6002)
