Japan Airlines is one of the world-renowned international airlines established in Japan in 1951. We have been operating direct flights between Helsinki and Tokyo since 2013. We are looking for a hardworking, adaptable, communicative member to join our team to ensure the team's consistent delivery of high-standard safety, smooth and timely flight operation at Helsinki Airport. We expect you to start working with us around the beginning of October, 2026.
Core tasks of this job:
Station operation coordinators duties include process management, ramp safety management support, security management, and information management of daily flight operations. Among these areas of responsibility, we will ask you to focus especially on ramp safety management support.
Your typical tasks are:
- Station operations duty (esp. process management, ramp safety management, security management) by coordinating information with stakeholders, and facilitating entrusted companies in necessary training, qualifications and skills
- Constantly gathering information needed for flight operation as well as overall airport and regional situation, and sharing it with other stakeholders such as Headquarters, flight crew
- Accounting work related to flight operations (expense approval process, invoice verification, estimating expenses process)
- Reporting (safety incidents and service irregularities etc.)
What we expect from you:
Below is the list of what we expect from applicants:
- At least 18 years old and eligibility to work in Finland.
- At least a high school level education and at least 2-3 years of professional experience in ramp handling.
- A clean background (standard security clearance is needed for working in the restricted area of the airport).
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Readiness to work on weekends and on national holidays.
- Readiness to work depending on the flight schedule.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency in using various mobile devices and applications.
- Flexibility to expand your role, cross-train, and take on additional operational duties in the future as business needs evolve.
- Ability to comprehend aviation documents and stakeholder communications accurately, combined with a strict safety mindset to always verify unclear information rather than relying on assumptions.
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills, with the ability to handle multiple simultaneous issues, communicate accurately under pressure, and provide clear, concise instructions to stakeholders.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships within the team.
- Physical stamina to handle many hours of flight operations, and extended shifts in the event of flight irregularities.
