Part-time Tea House Assistant

We're looking for a part-time Tea House Assistant.

You'll be working directly with the owner in a small independent tea house. This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in every part of the daily operation. There isn't a separate person for each task, so everyone helps wherever needed.

Your responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

• Preparing and serving tea using Gongfu brewing methods

• Introducing our teas and sharing basic tea knowledge with customers

• Helping customers choose teas and tea products

• Preparing tea drinks and desserts

• Operating the cashier and processing payments

• Handling takeaway and delivery orders independently

• Packing loose-leaf tea for retail sales

• Restocking products and organising inventory

• Washing dishes and maintaining a clean workspace

• Cleaning the shop

• Supporting other day-to-day operational tasks as needed

During busy periods, you'll often be serving customers, preparing drinks, handling takeaway and delivery orders, and managing multiple tasks at the same time. During quieter periods, you'll help with packing tea, restocking, cleaning, organising, and preparing the shop for the next rush.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, reliable, and responsible

• Comfortable talking with customers

• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable multitasking and adapting to different responsibilities

• Proactive and able to work independently

• Interested in learning about tea and providing excellent customer service

Language requirements

• Fluent Finnish

• Good English

• Basic Chinese listening skills are a plus, but not required

Position

• Part-time

• Weekend and evening availability is preferred

• Full training will be provided
