MyWärtsilä (and Wärtsilä Online) customer platforms are Wärtsilä's digital interfaces with our customers.
We are now looking for anE-commerce Expert to drive the growth, performance, and continuous improvement of Wärtsilädigital commerce. This role combines hands-on operational ownership with strong leadership and project management capabilities to ensure the successful delivery of digital initiatives and an exceptional customer experience.
Preferred locations for this permanent position are Finland and Italy but other WärtsiläEuropean time zone locations can be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day operations of MyWärtsilä e-commerce platform, ensuring optimal performance, stability, and user experience.
- Collaborate with MyWärtsiläproduct owner to define the scope and lead end-to-end delivery of e-commerce initiatives, which support our business growth.
- Coordinate with IT, UX design, and business stakeholders to deliver enhancements and resolve operational challenges.
- Troubleshoot system issues and failures, coordinating cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Manage product catalog, pricing logic, recommendations, and digital content in collaboration with IT and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate activities related to integrations with our core backend systems (SAP, Commercetools, Salesforce, logistics platforms), with the goal of improving our data accuracy and customer experience.
- Identify and implement automation and innovation opportunities to improve the efficiency and scalability of our solutions.
- Promote ownership, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing about digital commerce across different functions.
The below will be required in order to enable you to succeed in this role:
- Strong project management skills and experience leading integration initiatives, with a proven record of delivering complex digital projects in a cross-functional environment.
- Ability to build relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners. You will require strong communication skills to drive customer onboarding and adoption.
- Previous experience troubleshooting and coordinating incident resolution with IT, internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Experience in digital commerce platforms, or experience with B2B digital integrations (APIs, PunchOut, EDI, einvoicing).
- Previous experience with robotics and AI-driven automation platforms (e.g., UiPath, SAP AI Core), with the ability to design, deploy, and maintain automated workflows and intelligent process solutions.
- Experience with SAP would be highly beneficial.
- Analytical way of working and solution-oriented mindset.
- Problem solving skills, both technical and interpersonal.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, other languages considered advantageous.

The primary location for this role is Finland, but this role can also be based in Italy where the annual salary range would be 36,324 EUR – 51,152 EUR in accordance with the salary provisions in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement for workers in the metalworking and plant installation industry (CCNL Metalmeccanico).
At Wärtsilä, we are committed to fair and transparent pay. The salary range shared reflects the expected compensation for this role in that location, based on market data and our job architecture.
The final salary will be influenced by factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the required competencies, and your relevant education, skills, and experience // and the salary provisions in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. We also take internal equity into account to ensure a fair and consistent approach across our organisation.
