We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Manager located in the Helsinki Metropolitan area. You are a seasoned safety professional with strong expertise in your field and a genuine dedication to creating safe working environments.
With your passion for safety and strong interpersonal skills, you ensure the health and safety of our employees and clients across more than 150 Sodexo locations in Finland. You have a proven track record in occupational safety, preferably in an international service-industry environment.
In this role, you manage all OHS activities ethically and in line with local legislation, collective agreements, and global and regional company policies, standards, and values.

Your responsibilities:
Act as the subject matter expert for Occupational Safety Management in Finland
Hold overall responsibility for Health & Safety management systems across Finnish operations
Support operational teams in the implementation and continuous improvement of OHS processes
Lead, deploy, and adapt H&S policies and procedures in line with local requirements
Ensure compliance with H&S legislation, acting as the key contact for regulatory matters
Coordinate, execute, and support H&S documentation and document management in accordance with ISO requirements
Adapt and implement global and European Health & Safety initiatives to the Finnish operating environment
Drive H&S risk management, including hazard identification, risk assessments, and the implementation of preventive and corrective measures
Lead and manage incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Plan and conduct internal H&S audits and follow up on identified improvement actions
What we are looking for:
At least 5 years of relevant experience in occupational safety management, preferably in a multisite or serviceindustry environment
Bachelors or Masters Degree in relevant field
Strong experience in developing, implementing, and improving OHS processes, with a structured and qualitydriven mindset
Experience in designing, planning, and delivering effective OHS training programs, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences
Familiarity with ISO 45001 and its practical application
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, outgoing and an active listener
Analytical and structured working style, with the ability to prioritise and perform effectively under pressure
Independent working style with consultative approach.
Excellent IT skills
Fluency in English and Finnish is essential in this role (both written and spoken), other languages are considered as an advantage.

This is a permanent full-time position, with a work schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Work involves some travel within Finland. Salary is negotiable based on experience and expertise. Job starts in autumn 2026.
