We are looking for an experienced Operations Development Manager to strengthen our operational capabilities and help us scale efficiently as demand grows.
This role sits at the intersection of sourcing, supplier development, manufacturing strategy, cost improvement and cross-functional project leadership. You will work closely with COO as well as with mechanical design, product development and sourcing teams to improve supplier setup, expand manufacturing options, reduce product cost and build a more scalable operating model.
A major part of the role is developing and managing a stronger supplier base across electronics, components, and metal enclosures and assemblies. This includes identifying new partners, evaluating capabilities, comparing commercial and operational alternatives, and leading negotiations with suppliers in Finland and Europe. The goal is to improve cost competitiveness, reduce supply risk and strengthen our ability to support growth.
Another key part of the role is leading cost-down work for our main product. You will coordinate this work across functions and help turn ideas into concrete actions whether related to materials, component choices, design changes, manufacturing methods, supplier setup or total delivered cost.
This is a role for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, driving complex topics forward and working across both strategic and practical levels. You should be motivated by building, improving and scaling in a company where growth is real and your work has visible impact.
What you will do
- Develop and strengthen our supplier base across electronics, components, and metal enclosures and assemblies
- Identify, assess and compare new suppliers and manufacturing partners for metal enclosures, assemblies, electronics and other key components, especially in Europe
- Lead supplier evaluations, competitive processes and supplier negotiations with a focus on cost, quality, delivery capability, scalability and risk
- Build strong and effective long-term relationships with key suppliers and manufacturing partners
- Lead and coordinate product cost-down initiatives for our spearhead product together with mechanical design, product development and sourcing teams
- Drive concrete cost improvement actions across materials, structures, components, manufacturing approaches and supply setup
- Support the development of a more scalable operational model as the business and customer demand continue to grow
What we are looking for
We are looking for a person with solid experience in sourcing, supply chain, operations development or manufacturing-related roles in a technical product business. You should be comfortable working independently, interacting with senior internal and external stakeholders, and taking ownership of important development areas.
Preferred background
- Strong experience in sourcing, supplier development, supply chain, operations development or manufacturing in an industrial or technical product environment
- Track record in supplier selection, competitive tendering, negotiations and supplier performance development
- Experience working with technical products involving mechanics, electronics, assemblies or contract manufacturing
- Experience leading cross-functional projects involving sourcing, engineering, product development and operations
- Experience driving cost improvement, value engineering or other structured cost-down work
Skills and qualities
- Strong commercial and operational judgment
- Good understanding of manufacturing, supplier economics and total cost drivers
- Ability to structure complex topics, compare alternatives and drive decisions forward
- Confidence to lead supplierdiscussions and negotiations with larger international counterparties
- Experience withcontract manufacturing or external production partnerships
- Strong project leadership across multiple functions and stakeholders
- Background in metal products, electromechanical products, electronics or industrial assemblies
- Hands-on working style and willingnessto move between analysis, coordination and execution
- Clear communication skills in English
