Restaurant Cook - Full Time

Chitir Chicken Nummela is looking for a responsible and motivated Restaurant Cook to join our kitchen team. The work includes preparing, cooking, and assembling Chitir Chicken menu items such as fried chicken, burgers, wraps, side dishes, sauces, salads, and other fast-food meals according to the restaurants recipes, quality standards, portion sizes, and hygiene requirements.

The cooks daily tasks include preparing ingredients, marinating and breading chicken, operating fryers, grills, ovens, and other kitchen equipment, monitoring cooking times and temperatures, checking food quality and freshness, and ensuring that all orders are prepared quickly, safely, and correctly. The role also includes packing takeaway and delivery orders, coordinating with customer service staff, and helping the kitchen run smoothly during busy service hours.

The Restaurant Cook is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen and storage areas. This includes cleaning workstations, kitchen equipment, floors, and surfaces; washing dishes and utensils; storing ingredients correctly; following FIFO stock rotation; checking expiry dates; receiving deliveries; restocking supplies; and following Finnish food hygiene and safety regulations. The cook may also assist with opening and closing routines, inventory control, waste management, and reporting shortages or maintenance needs to the manager.

The job requires to be present at the work location by 9:00 and having good teamwork skills, reliability, flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Previous experience in restaurant, fast-food, grill, fryer, or kitchen work is considered an advantage, but training can be provided for the right person.
