Would you like to make your mark on tomorrows society by developing and running Xamks Department of Business? What does the position involve? We are looking for a Director of Education to be responsible for running the Department of Business. The position is located at Mikkeli campus. The position is permanent and full-time. The work will start on 3 August 2026, or as agreed. The position is subject to a probationary period of six months. The Director of Education is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the education department as well as for the development of education, RDI and service activities in the field of business. The Director of Education acts as a supervisor in the department. In this role, you will be able to influence the future of the field of education and to develop new educational products. As a leader, you will also promote of Xamk's shared strategic objetives and create new iniatives in international cooperation. Your closest colleagues will be fellow directors of education. You will act as a supervisor for approximately 25-30 experts supporting their success as part of your daily work. Why work with us? This is a contractual salary and the terms and conditions of employment are determined in accordance with the Collective Agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences (Sivistystyönantajat ry). What do we expect from you? Applicants are required to hold higher university degree in business management and have strong, proven experience in managerial roles. Proficiency in English is required for postion. We appreciate a strong commitment to the development of education across Xamk as a whole, a strategic and visionary leadership approach, the ability to inspire other and ensure the achievement of organisational goals, as well as national and international networking and collaborative skills. Succesful performance in the role requires knowledge of educational organisations and the field of business, experience in demanding leadership positions and innovative mindset.
