Job description
We are looking for a Content Manager responsible for managing our brand communication, digital content creation, and community engagement across Chinese and international social media platforms.
The role focuses specifically on developing content strategies targeting Chinese-speaking audiences and managing social media platforms that require native-level cultural understanding and language skills.
Main responsibilities include:
- Managing brand presence across Chinese social media platforms including Xiaohongshu and TikTok
- Creating short-form video content, product storytelling, and lifestyle content
- Planning and executing livestream sessions for product promotion and audience engagement
- Managing community engagement and customer communication on Chinese-language channels
- Developing social media strategies tailored for Asian consumer markets
- Coordinating PR campaigns, influencer collaborations, and brand partnerships
- Monitoring social media trends and adapting content strategy accordingly
- Supporting brand growth and digital marketing activities internationally
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who has:
- Professional proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese (mandatory requirement)
- Proven experience managing Chinese social media platforms, particularly Xiaohongshu and TikTok
- Strong understanding of Chinese-speaking consumer markets and digital behavior
- Experience in social media content planning, copywriting, and brand communication
- Experience hosting or managing livestream sessions for product promotion and customer interaction
- PR and influencer collaboration experience
- Video editing and short-form content production skills
- Ability to create culturally relevant content for Asian audiences
- English language proficiency required for internal communication
Important requirement
Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese language skills are mandatory for this role.
The position is specifically responsible for managing brand communication, content creation, community engagement, and livestream activities targeting Chinese-speaking audiences across multiple international markets.
Daily work responsibilities include:
- Creating content in Chinese language for social media platforms
- Managing communication with Mandarin and Cantonese speaking audiences
- Hosting live-stream sessions and engaging directly with Chinese-speaking customers
- Developing marketing campaigns specifically tailored for Chinese consumer markets
- Building partnerships and PR collaborations within Chinese-speaking communities
Due to the nature of the role, native or professional-level proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese is essential and cannot be replaced by Finnish or English language skills alone.
