We are looking for an experienced Director, IT Operations to lead Nokian Tyres global IT Operations function and ensure stable, secure, and business-aligned services across key technology domains, including Digital Workplace, Identity & Access Management, Cloud & Infrastructure, Network, Information Security, and Service Management.
In this role, you will drive operational excellence, service reliability, security, and continuous improvement while leading a distributed team and managing strategic partners. You will also help shape the direction of IT operations by guiding modernization, resilience, and service quality across global business and manufacturing environments.
You will lead an international team, work closely with business stakeholders and technology partners, and play a key role in enabling reliable and efficient IT services for business-critical operations. Reporting to the CIO, you will be a member of the IT leadership team.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a global IT Operations team with a strong focus on accountability, collaboration, and service excellence
- Own service performance, operational governance, and continuous improvement across key IT operations areas
- Ensure reliable and resilient services for business-critical and manufacturing operations
- Lead strategic partners and outsourced service providers to deliver quality, efficiency, and value
- Drive modernization, standardization, and automation across the IT operations landscape
- Manage IT operations budget, vendor relationships, and service-related decision-making
- Act as a key stakeholder in risk, audit, security, and resilience topics related to IT operations
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience in IT operations leadership within a global enterprise environment
- Strong background in service management, outsourced delivery models, and vendor governance
- Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, networks, endpoints, and ITIL-based practices
- Experience in complex business environments where service continuity, resilience, and security are critical
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and organizational levels
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is considered an advantage
- A structured, data-driven approach to decision-making and continuous improvement
