Production Operator (fixed-term temporary contract)

Position: Production Operator

Location: Kotka, Finland

Employment type: Full-time, fixed-term contract until 01.02.2029

Position Description: We are looking for Production Operators with previous experience from a cathode active material (CAM) production plant to join our manufacturing team in Kotka. Please note that this position is fixed-term and is needed to ensure that the sample run and commercial production at the Kotka plant are launched successfully. In case you don't have previous experience from a CAM plant, please apply for the other Production Operator position available on our website which doesn't require previous experience from the process industry in a CAM plant.

In this role, you will perform daily production tasks following established plans and procedures, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. In addition, you are expected to guide and provide hands-on training to Production Operators who don't have previous work experience from the CAM plant

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate production equipment and follow Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).

• Ensure product quality and complete production records accurately.

• Guide and provide hands-on training to Production Operators who don't have previous work experience from the CAM plant.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment adhering to the 6S standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).

• Meet daily production targets and report any abnormalities promptly.

• Handle materials responsibly and support cost control initiatives.

• Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.

Qualifications:

• At least 1-2 years of experience from a similar role within a CAM manufacturer.

• English skills are required, other language skills considered to be an asset. Our company language is English.

• Ability to follow instructions and quality procedures carefully.

• Responsible, safety-minded, and detail-oriented.

• Team player with good communication skills.

The job tasks in this position correspond to the TVL level of 1 and 2 under the Chemical industry's collective agreement (Kemian perusteollisuuden työehtosopimus).
