Kuvaus
Enersense Engineering is currently seeking a Commercial Director (Quantity Surveying) to support our clients data centre projects across several locations in Finland. We are hiring on a permanent basis, and the position is available to start as soon as possible.
In this role, you will take responsibility for leading the commercial strategy and performance of multiple data centre projects, with accountability for cost, contracts, risk and profitability.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Lead the overall commercial strategy and performance across a portfolio of data centre projects
- Take full ownership of project and portfolio-level financial performance, including margins, cost control, cash flow, and profitability
- Oversee and drive robust cost management, forecasting and commercial reporting processes
- Lead contract management, ensuring compliance with contractual and legal frameworks across all projects
- Act as the senior commercial interface with clients, leading negotiations and commercial discussions
- Establish and maintain commercial best practices, processes, and governance across projects
- Proactively identify, manage and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities at both project and portfolio level
- Lead dispute avoidance and resolution strategies where required
Requirements
- Extensive experience in commercial management / Quantity Surveying roles, including senior leadership responsibility
- Proven track record in managing commercial performance across multiple large-scale construction projects
- Comprehensive knowledge of contract law, procurement strategies and post-contract commercial management
- Experience in data centre or other large-scale, complex construction projects is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing commercial teams
- Strong financial acumen with experience in managing margins, cash flow, and project profitability
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to operate at both detail and executive level
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
