Join us at Elomatic as we strengthen our Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation Engineering team! Our offices are in Espoo, Jyväskylä, Oulu, Tampere and Turku just tell us your preferred location in your application!

As a Lead Automation Engineer, you will play a key technical role in designing and guiding factorylevel automation solutions for industrial clients. You are responsible for defining robust, scalable, and futureproof automation and control systems, including technical specifications, functional design, cost estimates, and close collaboration with customers, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

The role combines handson automation expertise with technical leadership and clear ownership of the automation scope within projects. You set technical direction, validate solutions, assess risks and tradeoffs, and ensure that automation deliverables meet agreed technical, operational, and lifecycle objectives from early concept development through implementation and commissioning.

Our ideal candidate is a highly experienced automation professional who makes independent technical decisions and provides technical guidance on people, standards, and overall engineering direction.

What helps you succeed in this role

• A relevant technical education, e.g. Master of Engineering in automation technology
• Strong experience in automation engineering and preferably also in consulting business
• Deep knowledge in automation systems (DCS, PLC), IT/OT solutions and cyber security
• Good skills to prepare technical specifications, functional design and cost estimates
• Broad experience in different processes e.g. industry, energy and power, chemical, food
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, in Finnish and English (spoken and written)
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Team spirit, collaboration, and knowledge sharing

Monthly salary depends on your experience, capabilities and references starting from 4 500 €.
